Are you a Registered Republican:
Yes
Were you born in Cuba or in the USA from a Cuban parent(s):
I was born in Maternidad Obrera, in Havana, Cuba on August 22, 1959
About Me:
I came to this great land in 1967 when my parents were finally able to escape the Castro regime after 2 failed attempts. First, during the October Missile Crisis, where we had our visas cancelled after they had confiscated my father's business and home and were forced to stay at my grandparents house for over 4 years. Secondly during the Camarioca boat lift, where my uncle was not able to get to Cuba to retrieve us.

Today I enjoy the life and liberties so many take for granted in this country with the constant worry that our people here have not shared with the American people enough of our story to make them wake up before it is too late.

You see, Cubans too wanted CHANGE!!!

What we got was a disater called Castro. Funny thing, he too was a "community activist" a "lawyer" a "defender of the weak" and his rhetoric was a cry for CHANGE.

Not to defend the indefensible, there were many a problems in Cuba at the time and yes there were abuses and excesses from the Batista regime, but, compared to what followed, they were saints!

People had freedom of movement, private business, property rights, and a host of other "freedoms" that were eroded by the ensuing tyranny. Oh, and they had food and the markets were full of all the latest creature comforts available to all for a resonable price. Hotels were accessible to all and medical care was affordable to all.

Look at the changes that "CHANGE" brought Cuba and THINK!!!

May 2010 bring you the wisdom, courage, and strength to stand up, united, as one people and say NO to tyranny.

Unless we do, one day you too will be yearning for freedom for your homeland like we who were born in Cuba have been yearning, for 51 long years now.

What is tyranny anyway? The dictionary defines it as:

1- cruelty and injustice in the exercise of power or authority over others
2- oppressive government by one or more people who exercise a… Continue
